Marriage in Islam:
In Islam marriage is a religious
affair. It makes bride and groom i.e. newly wed couple
responsible for immediate rights and duties. The Muslim
Jurists have worked out information of these rights,
duties and obligations. But there is too much conflict
and too many opinions about the rights of wife and husband
in a Muslim society.
Marriage and Islam:
Islam teaches that shadi is 'half of religion'. Because
it fulfils many basic needs of not only bride and groon
but also of society, it is the cornerstone upon which
the total Islamic sentence is collective. Modern life
brings strains and pressures which can untune even the
most compatible relation.
Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Said,
"A thankful lingua, a soft
hearted wife is a true friend of yours in islam.''
These are the main qualities that Islam wants in a woman
who shall sustain the future generations of mankind
towards an Islamic order.

Importance
Of Marriage in Quran
Holy
Quran Says:
"And marry those among you who are single
and those who are fit among your male slaves
and your female slaves; if they are needy,
Allah will make them free from want out of
His grace; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing".
(Surah Nur Aayat 24:32)
The above ayat begins with the words Wa
Ankehoo (Aur
Shadi Karo...) The imperative
form of the word 'nikah' implies that either
it is obligatory or highly recommended. According
to Muslim scholars, though Shadi is a highly
advisable act, it becomes bounden when there
is a seek of falling into sin. |
Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Said, "No house has been built in Islam more beloved
in the sight of Allah than through nikah (shadi)."
On another occasion Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Said: "The best people of my nation (Ummat) are
those who get married and have chosen their wives, and
the worst people of my nation are those who have kept
away from marriage and are passing their lives as bachelors."
