Shadi
is a name used in middle eastern countries while it is
a female name in Persian and in Arabic origin ("singer")
or one with a beautiful voice. Also can refer to a Pakistani
or Hindu wedding ceremony.

Mayoon is famed at the bride's asylum. Ordinarily
the bride's friends and stuffy relatives get
unitedly at her home and they celebrate this
happy even by singing songs.Generally bride's
ancestry present bangles and sometimes clothes
to her friends, depending on what they can afford,
if they are rich then they offer more gifts
and if poor then they can't offer anything but
its not necessary thing to present gifts to
bride's friends. The day also usually includes
a henna where the women put mehndi designs on
each others' hands. The bride usually wears
a reniform yellowish Trousers Kameez as yellow
color is must on mayoon. |
Mangni (Engagement):
Mangni is a starting ceremony to declare the engagement
of the couple to the public. It is usually a small ceremony
that takes place in the presence of a few close relative
of bride and groom. Prayer and blessings for the couple
are recited and the wedding date is usually decided
and exchange of gold rings is also the beauty of this
ceremony.
