Marriage
(Wedding, Shaadi, Shadi) is
a social, spiritual, or legal union of individuals.
This union may also be called matrimony, while the ceremony
that marks its beginning is usually called a wedding
and the married status created is sometimes called wedlock.
Marriage
is an institution in which interpersonal
relationships (usually intimate and sexual) are acknowledged
by the state, by religious authority, or by both. It
is often viewed as a contract. Civil marriage is the
legal concept of marriage as a governmental institution,
in accordance with marriage laws of the jurisdiction.
If recognized by the state, by the religion(s) to which
the parties belong or by society in general, the act
of marriage changes the personal and social status of
the individuals who enter into it. In Islam Arabic term
"Nikah" is used for marriage. It means "contract".
("Aqd in Arabic). The Quran specifically refers
to marriage as "mithaqun Ghalithun,". Which
means "a strong covenant".
What is the Purpose of Marriage?
A marriage has two main purposes:
1:) To ensure preservation of the human species and
continuation of the human race and
2:) To provide spiritual and legal foundation of the
family.
Marriage in Islam:
Islam has explained every part of life in detail and
what is marriage? and why we need it? is also explained
in islam. Islam is the religion of nature, it has make
every part of men and women life very easy by explaining
and making some rules to follow and work accordingly.
We just need to follow those rules and live our lives
happily.
